Seriously. Someone has replaced my baby with some kind of wolverine or small, ravenous pack animal. He is acting the way I did on day 2 the time I "tried" the Atkins Diet.
He has only been moderately interested in baby food to this point. He will eat it, but not much of it. He has been gawking longingly at us, following every bite or sip to our mouths with big puppy eyes, when we eat and drink for a couple of months. He has been eating about half of a small jar of food and some cereal in the evenings, but you had to try to maintain his attention with plenty of baby talk, while begging him to open his mouth.
Last week, I picked up some stage 2 baby food and a new flavor of Gerber Fruit Puffs. Suddenly, I can't cram the food in fast enough for his liking. He seems to be looking at me thinking I am about as swift as a turtle on a bottle of Xanax. The moment he swallows, I better have another spoonful there waiting, or enter stage left: the tears and wimpering. When the spoon is in front of his mouth, I am afraid to get too close or he might gnaw my arm off up to the elbow trying to inhale the bite. He downs the large container of food and starts crying for more. I am pretty sure I heard Reece growl at the dog and bare his teeth when he got too close to the high chair and Reece thought he might snitch a bite. He is shoving the fruit puffs in his mouth so fast, you would be convinced that a pack of hungry wolves was descending to steal the entire container from him.
Maybe he is preparing for hibernation?
Here's the little dingo a few days ago.....Maybe all this revving his engine has something to do with his fuel intake....

he is so darn cute! it looks like he's on fly paper, b/c he's moving but getting nowhere. then next thing you know, he's moved almost of the rug. love his little smile at the end.
He is so cute! Luke is crawling, but I don't know how...he wiggles across the floor. I love how Zach is talking in the background. Fun times. Also, thanks for the tip on the handprints. I will try that next time..makes sense...
well, between little "steps" backwards and rolling and lunging forward, I seem to be fetching this baby out from under the table every few minutes. I imagine when he gets all the limbs going in the right direction, i will need my running shoes on.
looks like he's about to take off! So fun! Isn't it funny how they just one day decide "hey, I DO want to eat" :)
