Egg Hunt

I grew up in the mountains of Utah and Easter was ALWAYS cold and often snowy. The Easter Bunny always visited us inside the house. Here, it is usually cold, but nice enough to sneak out for a while to find an egg or two. I LOVE this. There are so many great hiding places in the yard, and it may seem a little off, but I actually like bundling up to head out.

Easter Sunday was a rainy, rainy day this year. Annoyingly determined as I am, I couldn't quit thinking of ways to keep the weather from interfering with the outdoor plans. Umbrellas? Monday? Hmmm.

Trent had been out of town for his brother's belated bachelor party, so we delayed hunting for eggs until he could get back. We figured we would end up doing it inside but, it turned out to be a wonderful coincidence he was a little late. The weather broke just long enough to go outside and slosh around the yard looking for eggs.

No sooner than we found the last egg, the rain returned.

Though I was fairly certain of the potential outcome, I couldn't resist allowing Reece in on the fun.

I'm glad the rain allowed for a successful hunt. I bet they enjoyed every minute! They are so photogenic too!
