HAPPY EASTER!!!!!
Please don't ask me to explain myself, but I have a strange compulsion each spring to spend money on pictures of my kids cuddling with real bunnies. The best part of the day is watching them interact with the furry, wiggly nosed critters. Not sure if the bunnies agree, but the boys were both very sweet and gentle, so I am sure OUR appointment was not too rough on them.

In a small twist of irony, I posted MY family "Olan Mills Classics" only a couple of weeks ago, and the photographer at this session utilized her extra time producing a few keepers for my kids to giggle about in 30 years. These next two really are not THAT bad...but I opted not to post the one of Reece sitting on Zach's back...that one would have qualified as an addition to the chain email and its OWN sarcastic subtitle.

I have been trying to keep Zach busy with GOOD activities during the week. We start on Monday's when he gets to pick a subject he would like to learn more about. Then, we surf the internet and books and nature shows to learn more and on Wednesdays, we do some kind of project that is related to that topic. One week we did volcanoes-National Geographic Hawaii and Pomeii on Monday, and Salt Dough/Baking soda volcanoes on Wednesday. Another, we did the solar system. Next week, he wants to do boats. This week...Easter. We didn't go the biblical route...but rather, had fun with Peeps and Egg Dying. Zach made all these little cars for his preschool classmates. They were a hit with Zach during assembly, and they were a hit at the school for a munchie.
Reece has discovered that though he cannot walk unassisted yet, he can "walk" around the room using a little creativity. When he is not ripping up the silk fern, you can usually find him by locating a mysteriously gliding barstool and then looking underneath. I got him a real push toy this week thinking it would be quieter than the barstools screeching around the kitchen. I managed to buy one with plenty of bells, whistles and songs, so I am not sure it was a HUGE improvement in the noise department, but I know where the batteries go in =)
We hope all of your families enjoy the holiday and the rain stays away long enough for Peter to put some eggs in the yard!
